Position Summary

The AI Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating the bank’s enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) program, including implementation of the approved AI Strategy Framework, governance processes, vendor oversight, user training, and operational execution. This role serves as the primary liaison between the AI Task Force, Information Technology, Information Security, Digital Delivery, Operations, Risk Management, and business units to ensure AI initiatives align with strategic, operational, regulatory, and security objectives.
 
 The position focuses on deploying secure, enterprise-grade AI tools and establishing scalable governance, monitoring, and reporting processes to support responsible AI adoption across the organization. The AI Manager will oversee AI implementation roadmaps, maintain approved AI tool inventories, coordinate vendor evaluations, and monitor AI usage metrics and return on investment (ROI).

AI Program Management & Strategy Execution
  • Own and drive execution of the enterprise AI implementation roadmap across all approved phases and initiatives.
  • Coordinate AI Task Force meetings, maintain action logs, and track progress on approved AI initiatives.
  • Assist executive leadership and business units in identifying, prioritizing, and evaluating AI use cases across operational, compliance, lending, audit, legal, human resources, and technology functions.
  • Develop and maintain implementation timelines, success metrics, and ROI reporting frameworks for AI initiatives.
  • Coordinate pilot programs, user onboarding, testing activities, and phased enterprise rollouts of approved AI technologies.
AI Governance, Security & Compliance
  • Ensure all AI tools, models, vendors, and use cases comply with approved governance standards, information security requirements, and regulatory expectations.
  • Partner with Information Security, Risk Management, and Compliance teams to evaluate AI vendors, conduct security reviews, and document approved AI processes.
  • Maintain inventories of approved AI tools, users, models, business processes, and related governance documentation.
  • Coordinate human-in-the-loop validation processes and assist in establishing testing, monitoring, and model validation procedures for AI-generated outputs.
  • Assist with development, maintenance, and communication of AI acceptable use policies, procedures, and employee guidance.
Vendor & Platform Management
  • Manage relationships with AI vendors and model providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, and other approved providers.
  • Coordinate procurement, onboarding, licensing, and enterprise account administration for AI platforms and related technologies.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies, platforms, and model capabilities for potential business application and strategic fit.
  • Partner with Information Technology teams to support deployment and operational management of AI-related infrastructure and integrations.
Training, Communication & Reporting
  • Design and deliver AI literacy and user training programs for employees and approved business units.
  • Monitor AI platform utilization, adoption metrics, usage trends, blocked activity, and operational effectiveness.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and implementation updates to executive leadership, the Information Security Committee, and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
QUALIFICATIONSRequired
  • Familiarity with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and enterprise AI deployment concepts.
  • Experience managing enterprise technology vendors, SaaS platforms, or technology implementations.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional projects and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in AI/ML program management, technology project management, digital transformation, or enterprise technology leadership.
  • Banking or financial services experience strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with enterprise AI security controls, audit logging, and data loss prevention technologies.
  • Knowledge of AI vendor management and enterprise procurement processes.
  • Project management certifications such as PMP or PMI-ACP preferred.
  • Preferred certifications or training in AI governance, AI ethics, or enterprise AI implementation.

  • Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time during the workday.
  • Long periods of typing and repetitive motion.
