Position Overview:
The AI Intern will identify, develop, and improve artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions that support company goals. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate who is eager to gain hands-on experience working with data, AI models, automation tools, and emerging technologies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and identify opportunities to leverage AI.
- Design, develop, test, and optimize AI solutions.
- Research AI trends, tools, frameworks, and best practices to support ongoing projects.
- Evaluate model performance, identify issues, document findings, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Present insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Follow responsible AI, data privacy, and security guidelines in all project work.
Job Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Python and SQL
- Hands-on experience using AI tools to create efficiencies
- Basic experience with the Microsoft technology stack
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to learn quickly, manage tasks independently, and collaborate in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- This role requires regular in-person collaboration with team members at our Chicago Support Center.
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. with little assistance
