As an Arcadian, you already help us deliver world leading sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. You are part of our global business comprising 34,000 people, in over 30 countries, dedicated to improving quality of life.
Everyone has an important role to play. With the power of many curious minds, together we can continue to solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.
The AI Governance & Enablement Lead operates the machinery that gets AI deployed: running intake gates, maintaining registers, executing EU AI Act compliance in practice, and clearing blockers for builders. This is an execution role, not a policy-writing role — your success is measured in workflows shipped with a clean audit trail, in days not weeks.
Requirements
- 5+ years in operations, PMO, quality management, data governance or compliance in a technology or engineering environment
- Hands-on experience running ISO-style management-system processes (ISO 27001 or ISO/IEC 42001 a strong plus; 42001 Lead Implementer certification ideal)
- Working knowledge of EU AI Act and GDPR and their practical implementation
- Comfortable in platform admin consoles (M365 / Copilot Studio a plus)
- Sharp risk-assessment and technical-writing skills — checklists and registers, not policy papers
- Pragmatic, service-minded
- Nice-to-have: CISSP, CIPP, CISA, or AI-specific certifications
Job responsibilities
- Run the intake and qualification gate for new AI workflows: owner named, data access confirmed, risk tier assigned — fast turnaround as a service standard
- Maintain the core registers: approved AI tools, active agents (Copilot Studio estate), the workflow registry, and the decommissioning record
- Execute risk-tiering of AI use cases per the EU AI Act; document human-oversight requirements and keep the audit trail regulators and clients will ask for
- Coordinate pre-deployment testing and sign-offs per workflow; publish results
- Verify and register IP terms per platform agreement (the knowledge-layer register)
- Support builders directly: office hours, templates, fast answers — governance as enablement
- Report a monthly governance line into the AI Studio leadership scorecard
- Stay current on emerging AI regulation and translate it into checklist changes, not memos
What we offer

You'll work with a global team across six workstreams and a 4,000+ digital community, with real ownership from day one — the registers you build become company infrastructure.
