Starting Compensation:

124,000.00 to 155,000.00 USD Per Year

Working Location:

Remote | CA Residence Preferred, Traveling Required

Working Hours/Shift:

Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM -5:00 PM, PST Required

What you bring to SBHG (Qualifications):

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, healthcare administration, public health, behavioral health, compliance, risk management, data/analytics, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree.

Experience:

  • Governance & AI: Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in AI governance, technology risk, compliance, data governance, privacy, healthcare informatics, or a related governance function, including hands-on experience supporting AI governance or responsible AI implementation.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated project management leadership experience, including project planning, timeline management, deliverables tracking, stakeholder coordination, risk and issue monitoring, and implementation follow-through.
  • Methodology: Proficiency in Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) principles and project management methodologies.
  • Training & Resources: Demonstrated experience developing and delivering staff training, implementation guidance, job aids, and other learning resources.
  • Preferred Backgrounds: Experience working in behavioral health, healthcare, or other regulated healthcare environments, as well as familiarity with business analytics, enterprise data environments/data lakes, information management, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Required: Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP) certification.
  • Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or comparable privacy certification.

 

 

How you will make a difference (Job Overview):

The AI Governance & Adoption Specialist delivers operational support for SBHG's responsible and scalable use of artificial intelligence. Reporting to the Senior Director of Enterprise Informatics and AI, this role helps sustain the governance framework required for safe, compliant AI deployment across the organization. Key responsibilities include coordinating AI intake, inventory tracking, governance documentation, risk and approval follow-ups, vendor and regulatory records, project planning, training, and ongoing tool monitoring. Working in partnership with Clinical, Operations, QA, Compliance, HR, IT/Security, EMR, Business Analytics, Finance, and other departments, the Specialist facilitates efficient reviews, decisions, implementation conditions, and project milestones while supporting reporting, dashboards, AI workflows, and issue escalations. Please note that travel to satellite and other locations is required.

Skills Required
