AI-First MVP Engineer and Product Owner

PPG is looking for an AI-First MVP Engineer and Product Owner to join the team. This is a dual-role position combining AI-first software development with product ownership responsibilities. You'll prototype, iterate, and ship features using vibe coding tools like Claude, Replit and GitHub Copilot while also owning the product vision, backlog, and stakeholder alignment within a SAFe Agile Release Train. You will report to the Group Product Manager AI/ML and work hybrid (3 days in office) out of our Pittsburgh office.

Key Responsibilities

Vibe Engineering

• Rapidly prototype features using LLM-powered tools (Claude, Replit, Github Copilot)
• Refine AI-generated code for production readiness
• Collaborate with other engineers and AI agents in pair programming workflows
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to architectural decisions while working with technical IT stakeholders to redefine how review processes and controls enable AI-first development
• Migrate prototypes into enterprise-ready implementations within the company's preferred stack (AWS or Azure)
• Build full-stack applications using .NET (C#) for backend services and Angular for front-end UI
• Ensure secure-by-design and scalable implementation patterns during MVP hardening

Product Ownership

• Develop product vision, requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Define and prioritize product features in alignment with business goals
• Own the backlog and participate in all events
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and Business Owners
• Drive customer-centric innovation through fast feedback loops
• Define success metrics for each MVP and track value realization (e.g., cycle time reduction, revenue enablement, cost savings)
• Coordinate with Front Line IT to manage long-term roadmap of MVP solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
• 5+ years in software engineering
• Familiarity with Azure or AWS platforms
• Strong expertise in:
• .NET / C# (API development, microservices, service integrations)
• Angular (UI development, component architecture, RxJS)
• SQL/NoSQL databases
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and modern DevOps practices
• Experience with GenAI tools and vibe coding workflows including demonstrate excellence in natural language prompt writing skills

• AWS or Azure certification (Developer Associate, Architect Associate, or equivalent)
• Prior experience in a Tech Lead role
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven design
• Understanding of secure coding practices and enterprise architectural patterns
• Customer facing experience in sales or marketing
• Familiarity with industrial systems, IoT, or automation platforms
• Experience with AI/ML deployment in enterprise environments
• Strong analytical and storytelling skills (e.g., articulating MVP value cases, building business cases)
