As a Data Engineer you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, testing and implementing data solutions for our Engaging Banking Platform. Your responsibilities will span from data integrations, processing, validations and visualisation utilizing Data Lakehouse with medallion architecture, Reporting Suite and conversational LLM models. You will guard the data consistency, quality and end to end governance from where data is born to where it is used in dashboards, AI / ML applications and other data consumers.You will also be involved in building insightful visualizations and reports used by customers of banks worldwide.
In addition you will be involved in design, develop, and deploy scalable AI-driven solutions: underlying infrastructure, agent orchestration layers, and evaluative frameworks that make AI reliable, safe, and impactful in a highly regulated financial environment.
What you'll do- develop and maintain the workspaces, data pipelines and objects in Data Lakehouse
- develop and maintain data ingestion solutions from many different sources, such as RDBMS, Change Data Capture and streaming endpoints ensuring its accuracy and consistency
- create and maintain data models to support reporting and analytics needs incl. AI models
- will be involved in create custom visualizations together with our user experience designers, develop interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports
- work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions, develop optimisations and troubleshoot issues
- document and share knowledge on solutions, including data models, reports, and dashboards, for future reference and training purposes.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field;
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably in Databricks and MS PowerBI
- Strong skills in programming languages like Python and Java
- Expertise in Data Lakehouse concepts and Delta Lake;
- Strong solution design and architecture skills, understanding of data domains, regulations, and compliance requirements;
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure);
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure;
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
