About the role
This role is open for either permanent employees residents in the Sofia area or remotely as a contractor located in any country between GMT to GMT + 3 Time zones.

As an AI Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying intelligent solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure's suite of AI services. You'll work across the entire lifecycle of AI solution development—from gathering requirements and designing systems to deploying and maintaining high-performing, secure applications.
 

Responsibilities

• Developed AI-enabled applications using Python and C# for more than 3 years.
• Build, manage, and deploy scalable AI solutions leveraging Azure AI Services.
• Design and implement Azure App Services such as Azure Functions and Web Apps, integrating them with services like Azure Data Lake, Cosmos DB, and Azure DevOps.
• Apply sound data modelling practices, including conceptual and logical modelling.
• Execute across all phases of AI solution development: requirements gathering, design, development, deployment, integration, and maintenance.
• Architect and maintain cloud-native systems following Azure cloud architecture patterns.
• Implement robust IT operations, including identity and access management, networking, storage, security, and governance.
• Integrate AI capabilities into user-facing applications to drive value and usability.
• Apply security best practices in distributed and cloud-native system architectures.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven expertise in Python development.
• Hands-on experience with Azure App Services, including Azure Functions and Web Apps.
• Experience integrating Azure App Services with Data Lake, Cosmos DB, Azure AI Services, and Azure DevOps.
• Strong data modelling experience—conceptual, logical, and understanding of different data model types.
• Familiarity with Azure infrastructure, including networking and infrastructure, such as Code using Terraform.
• Certifications such as AZ-204 (Azure Developer Associate) or AI-102 (Azure AI Engineer Associate).
• Understanding of data-driven application development and architecture.
• Exposure to data science workflows or RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines.
