AI Engineer

Location Qualifications: Bucharest (hybrid, 2 days in the office)

Position Overview: 

As an AI Engineer at Showpad, you will be at the forefront of driving our AI and machine learning initiatives. You'll work closely with your peers in cross-functional teams to develop and implement AI technologies that align with our business goals and drive innovation. 

You’ll work with state-of-the-art technologies such as LLM models like LLama 3/3.1, Claude models, AWS Bedrock, AWS Sagemaker, and AWS OpenSearch.

Our primary languages are Python, Typescript and Kotlin. The AI and Generative AI space is evolving rapidly, and so are we. We continuously update to the newest models, track emerging techniques, and engage in extensive experimentation with prompt engineering to ensure our solutions are at the forefront of technology.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design, develop, and maintain robust AI models to solve complex business problems.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement and deploy scalable solutions.
• Be part of the end-to-end life-cycle of AI and machine learning solutions.
• Ensure the performance and reliability of AI and machine learning systems.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest AI and machine learning trends and research.
• Design, craft, and optimize prompts that guide our AI systems to generate accurate, informative, and creative outputs.
• Collaborate with the product team to understand customer requirements and deliver solutions that meet these requirements.

Are you our next AI Engineer?

Must haves

• Educational background in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI or related field, or similar level of knowledge obtained through experience
• Experience developing and implementing AI models and algorithms.
• Good knowledge of Python
• Hands-on experience working with LLMs and other Generative AI models
• Experience working with AWS or other cloud providers
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• A passion for learning and staying updated on the latest in AI and ML technologies.

Nice to haves

• Experience with building retrieval augmented generation (RAG) systems.
• Experience with Search algorithms
• Experience working in an agile team
• Experience with the evaluation of (Generative) AI systems.
