About the Role 

We're looking for an early-career AI Engineer to join our growing AI team and help build and ship AI products at SiGMA Group. This role is ideal for recent graduates or students studying part-time who want hands-on experience building real AI features used across our events platform, content systems, and internal tools. 

You'll work closely with the Head of AI, learning to take ideas from prototype to production while building strong technical foundations. The role is remote, with regular collaboration across our international offices, and is designed to grow your skills and responsibilities over time. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Support the development and delivery of AI features across SiGMA's brands, with guidance from senior engineers 

• Help build and maintain LLM-based systems, RAG pipelines, and simple agentic workflows 

• Assist with prompt engineering, model evaluation, and testing 

• Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews to learn best practices 

• Help maintain data pipelines and contribute to observability and monitoring 

• Stay curious about new AI research and bring fresh ideas to the team 

• Contribute to responsible AI and evaluation practices as you learn them 

What We're Looking For 

• A degree (completed or in progress) in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience 

• Solid programming fundamentals in Python 

• Familiarity with LLMs and AI concepts, whether through coursework, personal projects, internships, or self-study 

• Exposure to any of the following is a plus (not all required): PyTorch, LangChain or LlamaIndex, vector databases, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Git 

• A portfolio, GitHub, or personal projects that show your interest in AI — even small experiments count 

• Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and grow 

• Good written and verbal communication 

• For part-time students: ability to commit to an agreed regular schedule 

• Willingness to travel internationally on occasion
