AI ENGINEER
About the Role
As an AI Engineer at Simpplr, you will contribute to the design and delivery of AI-native platform features that are accurate, reliable and aligned with ethical, legal and compliance standards. You will work with senior engineers, data scientists and cross-functional teams to develop LLM-based systems, MCP integrations, RAG architectures, multimodal solutions and fine-tuned ML models. Every solution will embed explainability, traceability, observability, privacy-by-design and Responsible AI governance from the start, in line with Simpplr’s code of conduct and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, code and enhance AI-native platform capabilities ensuring compliance with data privacy, intellectual property and security policies.
- Build components for MCP, RAG, LLMs, SLMs, multimodal generation, fine-tuned ML models and agentic workflows.
- Assist in building and maintaining AIOps and MLOps pipelines with versioning, CI/CD, monitoring, rollback and drift detection capabilities.
- Apply bias detection, privacy-by-design and compliance best practices to all deliverables.
- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into product experiences.
- Stay updated on AI frameworks, tools and industry standards to bring innovative ideas into the team.
What We Are Looking For
- 1 - 3 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, data science or related roles.
- Deliver enterprise-scale AI capabilities using MCP, RAG, multimodal, LLMs, SLMs, fine-tuned custom ML models and agentic workflow automation.
- Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
- Understanding of data engineering workflows, vector databases and cloud deployment basics.
- Exposure to MLOps/AIOps tools and processes (CI/CD, model monitoring, experiment tracking).
- Strong problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.
Technical Skill Sets
- AI/ML: LLMs, MCP, RAG, multimodal generation, SLMs, prompt engineering.
- Programming: Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, scikit-learn, full-stack engineering experience is a plus.
- Data Engineering: SQL/NoSQL, Snowflake, Vector databases such as FAISS, Milvus, Pinecone, Redis.
- MLOps & AIOps: CI/CD, model versioning, monitoring, observability, anomaly detection, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Spark, TorchServe, MLFlow.
- Cloud Infrastructure: AWS, GCP, Azure, Terraform/Ansible for secure and scalable deployments.
- Responsible AI & Governance: Bias detection, interpretability, audit trails, privacy-by-design and compliance frameworks.
