With our historic growth, it is an exciting time to join our team of employee-owners.This opportunity entails being responsible for supporting the firm’s growing AI enablement by administering the day-to-day technical execution of AI solutions. Working as part of the enterprise Data and AI team and in partnership with product and business stakeholders, this role translates defined needs into secure, maintainable implementations - contributing to design decisions, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and monitoring. The role requires strong technical fundamentals, practical AI implementation skills, and the judgment to escalate risks, tradeoffs, and decisions appropriately.
What You'll Do:
- Supports the technical execution for AI solutions across the delivery lifecycle (intake, build, test, deploy, monitor), partnering with enterprise Data and AI team peers for architectural decisions and priority tradeoffs.
- Partners with business and product counterparts to clarify requirements, document acceptance criteria, and validate delivered outcomes.
- Contributes to solution design and implement core components (APIs, orchestration, prompts, retrieval, evaluation harnesses, data transformations) using approved/established cloud design patterns; propose options, enhancements, and tradeoffs for review as technology evolves.
- Applies established operational, security, and responsible AI standards; recommend pragmatic improvements to templates, patterns, and runbooks as enterprise adoption and the AI team scales. Coordinates with security/legal as needed and escalate gaps or uncertainties.
- Works with key vendors on 3rd party AI solution/platform optimization, training, road-mapping, and new feature requests. Maintains solution-level technical documentation and operational readiness (runbooks, monitoring, alerting, known limitations).
- Implements and maintains evaluation approaches for quality, safety, and performance (test sets, regression checks, human feedback loops).
- Acts as primary technical point of contact for active initiatives, balancing delivery with maintainability.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related technical field and 3 years of relevant experience, or
- In lieu of education, 7 years relevant experience including proficiency in Python, cloud platforms, and applied AI techniques.
- Hands-on experience building and supporting software services (APIs, integrations, CI/CD)
- Practical experience delivering GenAI applications (prompting, RAG, orchestration, guardrails) and at least one of:
- ML solutions in production/near-production, or
- Data pipelines that support analytics/AI workloads.
- Experience working in one or more cloud environment: Azure (preferred), GCP, AWS.
What You'll Bring:
- Ability to solve complex problems by translating challenges into AI use cases.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Python.
- Understanding of software configuration, data management, and AIOps.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including backlog management and collaborative prioritization.
- Possesses self-awareness, resourcefulness, critical thinking, and mentorship skills.
What We Prefer:
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience delivering digital or AI solutions in the AEC industry.
- Familiarity with data and AI governance concepts and responsible AI practices (ability to apply checklists/templates).
- Experience with LLM tooling/frameworks, cloud-native AI services, and evaluation approaches.
- Experience with stakeholder-facing delivery (UAT support, demos, adoption enablement).
