At Cerrion, we’re building the future of AI-enabled manufacturing. Headquartered in Zurich and backed by Y Combinator and top Silicon Valley investors, we’re building a platform to deploy video AI Agents that can see what’s happening on the production floor, automatically spot problems, and instantly intervene to keep lines running smoothly, at scale. Our technology is live in factories across 15 countries, helping leading manufacturers in glass, beverage, food, CPG, building materials and wood cut downtime by up to 50%. We’ve reached an exciting inflection point — and we’re accelerating fast.
The RoleWe’re looking for an AI Deployment Manager to own the journey from a signed deal to a fully live Cerrion system on the customer’s production floor. You’ll plan and run every installation — coordinating customers, internal teams, and sometimes external installers — and own the on-site installation, system setup, and documentation so that new sites go live quickly, predictably, and with an excellent customer experience.
This is, first and foremost, a project management role. We’re hiring a great project manager who is also technically literate. Your job is to make the whole process run like clockwork.
Your primary KPI is to minimize the time the pipeline spends in the installation and deployment period, without compromising install quality or customer experience.
Your responsibilitiesInstallation Planning: Together with Sales, choose the right installation model per deal — self-install, contractor, or Cerrion-led.
Stakeholder & Project Management: Run installations end-to-end across all models: clear stakeholder management, deadline and dependency tracking, scheduling, and proactive delay and escalation management.
Paperwork & Site Logistics: For Cerrion-led installs, make sure the paperwork is in place (certificates, permits, posting and qualification declarations, visas) and the on-site arrangements are arranged (scissor-lift rentals, site access, tooling, etc.).
System & Product Setup: Own the Cerrion AI system setup as a product surface. Define the standard, feed real field friction to the Product team, and relentlessly push for tooling that lets an installer — or the customer — complete setup with minimal expertise. Verify every install meets the standard before sign-off.
Documentation & Standards: Develop and maintain the standard documents and guidelines for camera positioning and installation, and turn hard-won field expertise into repeatable playbooks.
Process Optimization: Continuously cut time-to-installed and reduce its variance. Treat recurring problems as process bugs to eliminate at the root.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Translate Customer Success’s “what the cameras must observe” into a real install plan with the install team, and work with Finance on a transparent ERP and KPI tracking and with Product on automating the setup experience.
Outstanding Project Management: The core of the role. Clear stakeholder management, reliable deadline and dependency tracking, resource planning across many parallel projects, and fast, clean, structured communication.
Multi-Party Rollouts: Proven track record running rollouts or implementations to deadline, coordinating customers, internal teams, and external partners at once.
Fast, Clear Communication: Responsive, calm, and structured with customers and internal teams; sets and meets expectations and owns the relationship through delays.
Technical Literacy: Understands device setup, networking, hardware, and software-configuration basics well enough to define the standard, debug field issues, and push Product for automation — without needing to perform every setup by hand.
Get-Things-Done Attitude: Bias to action and root-cause fixing; digs into messy problems and keeps going until they’re solved.
Comfort with Ambiguity: Thrives with scrappy tooling and improves it as they go.
Hardware Deployment Background: Experience shipping hardware into live customer sites — e.g. AV/security systems integration, IoT, telecom or fiber rollout, EV-charging install ops, robotics, or industrial-automation deployment.
Networking Fundamentals: Comfort with IP device discovery, switches, and PoE.
Languages: Working German and/or one of French, Italian, or Spanish for EU site work would be a plus. English is a must.
Tooling Experience: Exposure to ERP rollout or building operational tooling from scratch.
Real impact: The installations you run go live in factories across 15 countries and put Cerrion’s AI on real production lines.
Ownership: You own deployment end-to-end and the KPI that matters — with a clear path to lead the deployment function as it scales.
Growth path: See how a modern hardware-enabled AI product is deployed and operated at scale, and shape the playbook for how Cerrion goes live everywhere.
Culture: Flat hierarchies, ambitious colleagues from all over the world, and a collaborative environment where the best idea wins.
Compensation: Competitive compensation with a component tied to deployment performance.
Location: Modern office in the heart of Zurich, with occasional EU travel (roughly monthly or less); enjoy the quality of life of Switzerland and the energy of a high-growth startup.
If you love making complex things run smoothly, want to own how a fast-growing AI product reaches the real world, and are excited about leaving a mark on a massive industry, we’d love to meet you.
