AI & Data Platform Engineer - India

Role Overview

We are looking for an AI & Data Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate data pipelines and AI applications on our platform. The role combines data engineering (ETL/ELT, modeling, SQL) with hands-on LLM/AI application work — including AI skills, agent workflows, and MCP server development and integrations. You will work independently, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and ship production-ready APIs and integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using Python and SQL.

• Develop and refine data models that support analytics, AI applications, and downstream products.

• Build and iterate on LLM/AI applications, including prompt/flow design, evaluation, and productionization.

• Design and implement AI skills and agent workflows for real business use cases.

• Develop and integrate MCP servers so agents and tools can reliably connect to internal systems and data.

• Design, implement, and consume REST APIs for data and AI services.

• Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to turn requirements into working platform capabilities.

• Own quality, reliability, and documentation of pipelines, APIs, and AI components.

• Work independently with strong written and verbal communication across teams and locations.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or a closely related platform role.

• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.

• Hands-on experience building and operating ETL/ELT data pipelines.

• Solid understanding of data modeling for analytics and application use cases.

• Practical experience with LLM/AI application development.

• Experience building AI skills and agent workflows.

• Experience with MCP server development and integrations.

• Proven experience in REST API design and integration.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• JavaScript/TypeScript for APIs, tooling, or front-end integration.

• Experience with cloud data platforms, orchestration tools, and production AI/LLM deployment patterns.

• Familiarity with evaluation, observability, and governance for AI applications and agent systems.
