We're building something new at Postscript! We're looking for a highly dynamic and innovative AI Automation Engineer to join a new internal tools team. In this unique role, you will act as a 'force multiplier' across the company, focused on applying AI tools and technologies to solve our most pressing operational challenges. This is a hands-on position focused on partnering with a broad set of stakeholders to identify inefficiencies and develop scrappy technical solutions.
Primary duties
- Problem identification & collaboration: Partner with key stakeholders around the business. Quickly understand their business challenges and translate those into technical solutions.
- Build internal tools: Develop and maintain internal tools that automate existing work and increase employee productivity. Rapidly prototype AI-enabled utilities or automations and deploy them to users.
- Project management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously. Structure the work into discrete steps and sprints. Make tough tradeoff decisions optimizing for time to value.
- Documentation & training: Clearly document your work and provide training to users, ensuring the successful adoption and long-term success of new tools.
- AI tool evaluation: Lead the evaluation of third-party AI tools and technologies. Ensure we make informed build-versus-buy decisions
What We’ll Love About You
- 4+ years experience building tools and workflows to enhance productivity
- A scrappy problem solver with a positive, can-do attitude
- A curious mind especially related to AI
- Excellent communication and a passion for sharing knowledge
- Deep empathy to understand customer pain points and anticipate needs
- Hands-on experience using a variety of AI and automation technologies (e.g., OpenAI, Zapier, Retool, Slackbots, Workato, APIs, AI Agents, Pinecone, Streamlit)
- Experience with context/prompt engineering
- Proficiency with SQL, Python, and Javascript
- High ownership and agency
