As AI Automation Engineer, you will be the internal evangelist to accelerate the adoption and implementation of leading AI tools and solutions to transform our software development. You will be instrumental in delivering groundbreaking results to achieve an AI-first mindset within the engineering team and the Cut+Dry product.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered automation solutions across core product workflows.
- Build and maintain machine learning models for tasks such as demand forecasting, order optimization, and anomaly detection.
- Integrate LLMs and other generative AI tools to automate customer support, data entry, and reporting.
- Collaborate with product managers to identify automation opportunities and define technical requirements.
- Optimize performance and scalability of AI systems in production environments.
- Monitor and evaluate model performance, retraining and tuning as needed.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards.
- Document architecture, workflows, and best practices for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 4–8 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, automation, or related fields.
- Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Experience with LLMs, NLP, and generative AI tools (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and MLOps practices.
- Experience deploying models in production environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Knowledge of foodservice or supply chain operations is a plus but not required.
- Compensation range for this role is between $170K-$210K with 15% annual bonus target

Cut+Dry was created by a team of food service fanatics with decades of experience in hospitality, technology, restaurant operations, wholesale food distribution, food analytics, and data science.
Our executive team has built and scaled multiple companies in the food service industry, but most importantly, we created Sysco LABS and led Sysco’s multi-year digital transformation. This first-hand exposure to food service distribution illuminated the antiquated, analog process of procuring wholesale goods from those who supply them to those who ultimately consume them.
After a few years, they’ve decided to part ways with Sysco and start something new. It all started with a simple idea: to level the playfield with technology. And thus, Cut+Dry was born.
