LeagueApps is the leading youth sports management platform.
The Role
About LeagueApps

LeagueApps is the teammate and operating system for youth sports. We provide the software and community that youth sports leaders need to build, grow, and win — both on and off the field. Our platform powers thousands of the most forward-thinking youth sports organizations, helping them run more efficiently, deliver better experiences, and create more access to sports for all kids.

Mission-driven at our core, we believe that every child deserves the chance to play. Our mission goes beyond technology — through our FundPlay Foundation and commitment to equity, we’re creating amazing youth sports experiences for all. We live by our SPORTSDOG values — Sportsmanship, Passion, Openness, Results, Team, Student of the Game, Difference Maker, Own It, and Grit — and look for people who do the same.

About the Role

We’re hiring an AI Automation Engineer to help us work smarter, move faster, and deliver more impact — across every team and function. This is a rare opportunity to work at the forefront of applied AI in a mission-driven company.

You’ll identify high-leverage opportunities to apply AI and automation to internal operations, build the tools to make that happen, and help create a more intelligent and efficient company. From sales and customer success to finance and product ops, your work will unlock time, reduce complexity, and increase the intelligence behind our decisions and actions.

This role will work closely with the VP of Growth and have high visibility — including regular collaboration with the CEO and members of the Senior Leadership Team — to shape how AI is used across the company. The right candidate will be both a strategic thinker and hands-on builder who is passionate about LeagueApps’ mission and energized by our fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do
  • Partner with senior leaders to identify areas where AI and automation can drive significant internal impact
  • Build internal AI tools, automations, and workflows using platforms like OpenAI, LangChain, Python, Zapier, and APIs
  • Integrate systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Stripe, Notion, Slack) to unify data, reduce manual steps, and improve reporting
  • Develop and test internal GPT-powered assistants and copilots that make teammates more effective
  • Maintain and improve tools that support operations, onboarding, team collaboration, and executive decision-making
  • Prototype quickly, iterate based on team feedback, and support adoption across departments
  • Stay current on emerging AI technologies and advise the leadership team on opportunities for innovation
What We’re Looking For
  • 3–5 years of experience in a technical role such as software engineer, data analyst, or automation engineer
  • Track record of building or implementing AI-enabled tools, bots, or workflow automations
  • Ability to analyze business processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, connecting technical solutions to business impact
  • Strong skills in scripting (Python preferred), APIs, automation platforms, and data systems
  • Excellent communication skills with comfort presenting to and collaborating with senior leadership
  • Passion for youth sports, technology for good, and advancing equity in access to play
  • Deep alignment with our SPORTSDOG values — you’re not just building tools, you’re building a movement
Bonus Points
  • Experience with tools like Retool, Streamlit, Make.com, Zapier, or AirTable
  • Familiarity with data architecture, lightweight ML/AI modeling, or MLOps
  • Prior work in SaaS, internal ops, or mission-driven startups
Why This Role Matters

By improving how LeagueApps operates internally, you’ll free up more time for our teams to focus on delivering value to customers, scaling impact through our platform, and investing in underserved communities through FundPlay.

In short: your work will help more kids get off the sidelines and onto the field.
