AI Architect

Job Description:

As an AI Solution Architect at Airbus Defence and Space, you will be at the forefront of shaping our AI-driven future. You will balance cutting-edge artificial intelligence opportunities with business process requirements and ethical considerations, planning, designing, and integrating AI system components such as machine learning models or natural language processing systems. Your role will be pivotal in integrating the latest AI components and technology within the global architecture design, aligning technical requirements, principles, and models with our Enterprise Architecture guidelines. 

You will provide the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks related to the development of the AI enterprise's solutions architecture incl. systems (not just applications, but also processes and information), shared infrastructure services, and shared application services and components to better match targeted business outcome objectives. Your role will be to bridge the gap between existing components/systems of the IT/IM landscape and the AI solutions including Agentic AI, MCPs, A2A protocols, etc.

You will collaborate closely with Data Scientists, AI Engineers, Developers and other Technology Specialists to ensure the seamless integration of AI solutions across applications, systems, and platforms. Your work will drive business objectives, enhance decision-making processes, and foster responsible AI practices, ensuring transparency, fairness, and accountability in all AI-driven initiatives.

Your Responsibilities:

• AI solution architecture design incl. non-functional requirements (i.e. not linked to any business process). Perform the technical and functional design of AI and infrastructure components for new solutions, adhering to defined functional and ethical design principles.

• Contribute to Architecture Requirement Dossiers by creating Spec/Design, Operation, and Installation Dossiers 

• Create consistent solution architecture across all architecture layers​

• Solution adherence to domain target architecture, architecture principles, guidelines and corporate technology standards ​

• Technology assessment: Assist in the development of prototypes providing recommendations on technology to use including DevOps/MLOps and LLMs

• Reporting of deviations

• Visionary Leadership: Proactively assist in defining the direction for future AI-driven products and services, validating AI product designs.

• Collaborative Innovation: Work with other Architects, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and developers to deliver high-quality, innovative AI solutions using cutting-edge technologies and best practices.

• Architectural Guidance: Define solution patterns and architectural frameworks to guide AI solution decisions, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and responsible AI practices.

• Full Lifecycle Participation: Engage in all phases of the AI development life cycle, from research and design to development, testing, implementation, and support.

• Strategic Alignment: Align AI architecture strategy with the organization's business goals and long-term strategic planning, ensuring that AI initiatives drive value and competitive advantage.

• Business Process Improvement: Provide expertise on business processes, change management transformation, function improvement, and technology enablement for AI-driven business process reengineering.

• Continuous Learning: Stay current with the latest AI advancements, trends, and tools, continuously evaluating their potential impact and value to the organization, and fostering a culture of innovation and responsible AI adoption.

• Ethical AI: Ensure that AI solutions are transparent, explainable, and fair, addressing potential biases and promoting trust in AI-driven decision-making processes.

• Data Management: Work closely with data governance and data management teams to ensure the quality, availability, and security of data used in AI solutions.

Main Requirements:

- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Solutions Architecture for AI products.

- Experience in OpenAI Mistral Huggingface, VLLM, TGIs...

- Experience in Kubernetes and Openshift.

- Experience in CI/CD, git, Argh CD and Jenkins will be highly valuable.

- Experience in Grafana and Loki is highly valuable.

- Experience in Qdrant

- It will be valuable experience in Keycloak, Qdrant, S3 storage.

- The candidate must have awareness of data segregation layers.
