AI Architect

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON

The AI Architect is responsible for the technical vision and strategy of the initiative. This is not a role for someone who wants to build everything from scratch, it's for someone who finds the fastest path to delivering value, whether that means building, buying, integrating, or creatively combining all three. You're an unblocker: when the team hits a wall, you find a way around it. When bureaucracy slows things down, you propose pragmatic alternatives. You care about outcomes, not about owning the code.

Technical Vision & Strategy
- Define the technical roadmap and architecture for the Ask.ai platform and related AI solutions
- Evaluate and select technologies, frameworks, models, and infrastructure
- Make build vs. buy decisions together with the AI Product Owner
- Stay up to date with the AI landscape and assess relevance for Gameloft's needs

Standards & Governance
- Define and enforce technical standards for building AI solutions across the company
- Establish contribution guidelines and review processes for the inner-sourced project
- Maintain AI galleries (agents, MCP servers, integrations) to promote reuse and discoverability
- Define infrastructure standards to ensure consistency and cost-effectiveness
- Review and approve contributions from teams outside the core team

Development Coordination
- Coordinate the work of AI Engineers and inner-source contributors
- Ensure that solutions are designed for maintainability, scalability, and security
- Provide technical mentorship to engineers and interns
- Define the onboarding process for new contributors (internal teams, interns)

Platform & Infrastructure
- Own the technical direction of the Ask.ai platform
- Design the architecture for integrations with enterprise tools (Jira, Teams, Email, etc.)
- Evaluate and manage AI model providers (open source and commercial)
- Ensure data privacy and security across all AI solutions

Support for Teams
- Provide technical guidance to teams with technical capabilities building their own AI solutions
- Help non-technical teams by designing solutions that fit their workflows
- Build reusable components, SDKs, and templates that reduce development effort across teams
- Partner with QA to define testing strategies and quality standards

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• Strong hands-on experience with AI/ML systems (LLMs, agents, RAG, embeddings, MCP, etc.)
• Experience designing and building enterprise-grade platforms or SaaS products
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with DevOps tools (Docker, OpenTofu, Gitlab pipelines, etc.)
• Strong understanding of API design, microservices, and integration patterns
• Experience defining technical standards and governance for engineering teams
