Ferring+You
As an AI Applications Engineer, you will focus on applied AI by delivering AI solutions by leveraging the AI Platform framework.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders, to develop and deploy AI-driven applications that meet business needs.
You will contribute to the design and development of Ferring’s AI Platform Framework by delivering reusable and scalable AI capabilities.
As an AI Applications Engineer you will be able to work with on concrete business use cases from a technology and functional perspective.
We are in the process of extending our data analytics capabilities and laying out the foundations of a novel framework to deliver AI solutions.
You will be part of a global Analytics team. Working from our Lisbon center of excellence, you will collaborate with global stakeholders and in different business domains.
Your day at Ferring
Develop and deploy AI-driven applications using the AI Platform framework.
Contribute to the definition of the AI Platform framework roadmap and deliver reusable and scalable AI applications capabilities.
Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into AI solutions.
Navigate and utilize various AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) to build, train, fine-tune and deploy machine learning models.
Prototype and deliver web applications and APIs that integrate AI models and solutions, ensuring seamless user experiences.
Work closely with business stakeholders, analytics stream leads and IT business partners organization to identify opportunity for the application of AI solutions.
Combine machine learning and analytics expertise with business domain knowledge to deliver effective AI solutions.
Design and implement user interfaces (UI) and user experiences (UX) that leverage AI capabilities.
Ensure AI applications are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
Continuously monitor and improve the performance of AI applications in production.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AI applications and workflows.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and web development technologies.
Behind our innovation…There’s you
University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
3 to 7 years of professional experience in AI, machine learning, or data science roles.
Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
Experience with web development frameworks (e.g., Flask, Dash, Streamlit, Shiny) and RESTful API design (e.g. FastAPI).
Proficiency in AI frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
Proven track record of delivering Machine Learning, AI, and/or GenAI projects.
Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistics, and their application to business problems.
Proficiency in working with CI/CD processes for AI projects (DevOps, MLOps, DataOps, LLMOps).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
