AI and Business Intelligence Analyst I

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AI/Business Intelligence Analyst to join our global Business Intelligence & Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on development and technical experience with multiple artificial intelligence (AI) and Business Intellgience (BI) technologies and tools such as LLMs, Python scripting, Azure AI, and PowerBI. This role will be primarily responsible for developing new AI capabilities and working with IT and business colleagues to identify new AI use cases that would add value to Sonoco, building dashboards and reports, connecting applications to multiple data sources, developing advanced analytics solutions focusing on Machine Learning and AI capabilities, providing technical support and guidance to the user community, and designing end-to-end analytic solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and identify AI technologies and capabilities that would bring value to Sonoco.  Communicate through written and verbal communication on these capabilities to business and IT leaders.
• Hands on development of AI applications that are approved for implementation at Sonoco.  Work with multiple LLMs (i.e. ChatGPT) and customize them to build AI applications to support approved AI use cases.
• Develop and maintain data visualizations in PowerBI
• Develop comprehensive data models to support reporting requirements
• Design and implement advanced analytics solutions in PowerBI, leveraging Machine Learning and AI capabilities.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the user community, including troubleshooting issues and optimizing performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective AI and analytics solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience with various AI technologies including development and technical implementation.
• Hands on development experience with Python or similar
• Working knowledge of AI LLMs and how they can be utilized to support AI use cases
• Working knowledge of Machine Learning and AI capabilities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with both IT and business users
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

Compensation:

• The annual base salary range for this role is from $62,560 to $70,380.
