THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE
As an AI & Data Adoption Specialist, you will play a key role in bridging business, data, and AI within WMI. You will drive the adoption of AI solutions while ensuring strong alignment with data initiatives such as data governance, data models, and customer-centric data platforms (e.g., Customer 360).
Your mission will be to ensure that AI and Data initiatives deliver tangible business impact, by overseeing use cases, coordinating stakeholders, and enabling scalable adoption across WMI.
The role sits within the WMI’s Chief Data & Artificial Intelligence Officer (CDAIO). This role provides an excellent opportunity to influence and shape the strategic agenda for AI adoption and spearhead the deployment of Santander's AI products within the WMI.
Key Responsibilities
1. AI & Data Strategy Execution- Support the definition and execution of the Data & AI strategy aligned with WMI business objectives and Santander’s global roadmap
- Translate business needs into AI and data-driven initiatives with clear value propositions
- Ensure alignment between AI use cases and foundational data capabilities
- Identify, prioritize, and shape high-impact AI/GenAI and data use cases across WMI (e.g., personalization, advisory, operations, risk)
- Act as a key interface between business teams and technical teams (Data, AI Tech, IT)
- Gather and structure business requirements for AI and data initiatives
- Monitor and track AI initiatives end-to-end (from ideation to deployment)
- Ensure delivery progress, impact measurement, and alignment with business KPIs
- Coordinate with AI CoEs and global teams to deploy AI products within WMI
- Contribute to data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance
- Support the definition and evolution of data models and data architecture within WMI
- Drive key data initiatives such as Customer 360, data domains, and data productization
- Promote adoption of AI and data capabilities across WMI teams
- Support training, communication, and change management initiatives
- Act as an ambassador for Data & AI within the business
- Collaborate with CDAIO, business leaders, Data teams, and AI Tech teams
- Coordinate across local and global stakeholders to ensure alignment and scalability
- Engage with external partners when required (vendors, platforms, etc.)
Professional Experience
- 5–8+ years of experience in Data, AI, Analytics, or related roles (Required)
- Experience in financial services, ideally within Wealth Management, Asset Management, or Insurance (Required)
- Proven experience working on AI and/or data-driven initiatives in business environments (Required)
- Experience in project management, coordination, or PMO roles for data/AI initiatives is highly valued
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or related fields
- Additional certifications in Data, AI, or cloud platforms are a plus.
- Solid understanding of AI/ML and Generative AI concepts and business applications
- Strong knowledge of data management principles (data governance, data quality, data modeling)
- Familiarity with Customer 360, data platforms, and data product concepts
- Understanding of analytics and data-driven decision-making
- Ability to translate business needs into data and AI solutions
- Strong project tracking and delivery management capabilities
- Experience defining KPIs and measuring business impact
- Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Ability to work in cross-functional and international environments
