AI is core to how Apify works and competes. The majority of companies run on Claude (Chat, Code, Cowork), but we are keeping a diverse offering of other tools, such as Gemini, ChatGPT, Cursor, n8n, and many others. Our budget is projected in the hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. We've moved fast, and AI is embedded in many functions. We run weekly office hours, have strong adopters on every team, and a shared Claude context repo. But this is only the foundation, and there's much more to build. Some people still don't know where to start or what's expected of them. We've come a long way, and see a huge opportunity to go much further. That's why this role exists.

We're looking for an AI Adoption Lead to drive how AI gets used across Apify. This is a role about people, tools, and practices, not about owning a single tool.

You'll work directly with team leaders across Marketing, Legal, People, and beyond to define what "AI proficient" means for each role, and turn what works in one team into something every team can use. Reporting to the CTO, you'll own the rituals, shared context, and security guardrails that make fast, confident AI adoption possible.

What you'll be working on:
  • Meeting individual teams regularly to learn their AI blockers and wins, then carry proven practices to the rest of the company.

  • Partner with team leaders to define role-based AI proficiency expectations and help them achieve them.

  • Run the recurring rituals that inspire others and provide help (office hours, demos, hackathons), and grow a company-wide use case database.

  • Merge Apify's scattered AI context into a single company-wide skills marketplace, and lower the barrier for teams to contribute their own skills.

  • Own a secure, cost-aware default setup for Claude and the rest of the AI stack, working with Security and Legal on policy and guardrails.

  • Track AI spend, usage per team, and build the first clear view of the ROI AI adoption delivers.

  • Help people separate real AI value from hype and mitigate FOMO, keeping adoption grounded in what actually works.

Who we're looking for:

Must-haves:

  • You are a very experienced daily user of agentic tools like Claude or similar and able to show, not just tell, how to use them well.

  • Comfortable talking to both technical and non-technical teams (Engineering, Marketing, Legal, Finance) and adjusting your approach for each.

  • Experience driving the adoption of tools, improving processes, or practices across multiple teams in a company, not just within your own team.

  • Strong facilitation skills, able to run a workshop, demo, or hackathon, and get people to actually use what they learn.

  • Comfortable working without direct authority, influencing team leaders and adopters rather than managing them.

  • Working understanding of AI security and cost considerations (data governance, access control, spend tracking).

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience building or maintaining an internal knowledge base or skills marketplace.

  • Background in developer relations, enablement, or technical program management.

  • Experience partnering with security or legal teams on tooling policy.
