We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Farm Development Specialist / Agricultural Engineer to support and enhance the operations of our award-winning farm. The candidate will play a key role in improving productivity, implementing modern agricultural practices, and maintaining the high standards associated with the Agricultural Excellence Awards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily farm operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity across all activities.
- Develop and implement modern farming techniques to optimize crop yield and quality.
- Manage greenhouse and net house operations, including climate control systems.
- Plan and supervise irrigation systems, including water management and fertigation practices.
- Lead crop planning, seasonal planting schedules, and harvesting strategies.
- Implement sustainable and organic farming practices in line with industry standards.
- Monitor soil health, pest control, and plant nutrition programs.
- Introduce innovative technologies and automation to improve farm performance.
- Analyze farm data and prepare reports on productivity, yield, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with local agricultural regulations and safety standards.
- Train and supervise farm workers and technical staff.
- Maintain and enhance standards aligned with award-winning farm practices.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Horticulture, or related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in farm management or agricultural development.
- Proven experience in greenhouse and net house farming.
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, fertigation, and crop management.
- Experience in organic and sustainable farming practices.
- Familiarity with UAE/GCC agricultural conditions is highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage teams and coordinate farm operations effectively.
