Join our Product & Technology team as an Agile Project Manager, where you’ll play a key role in enabling consistent, transparent, and predictable delivery for our Compass analytics platform. Reporting to the Director of Analytics Platform Delivery, this role partners closely with product and technical leaders to support sprint-based delivery, improve delivery operations, and drive continuous improvement.
In addition to facilitating agile ceremonies and supporting day-to-day execution, the Agile Project Manager owns delivery analytics for the Compass team. This includes defining, producing, and maintaining delivery metrics and KPIs in partnership with the “Director of Data & Analytics Platform Delivery”, and ensuring that progress, velocity, and delivery health are visible and well understood.
This position is ideal for an experienced Agile practitioner who enjoys rolling up their sleeves- facilitating ceremonies, improving delivery flow, and using data to help teams learn, adapt, and perform at their best. We offer a hybrid work schedule with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays and collaborate in the office from Tuesdays through Thursdays.
In this role, you will provide:
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Coach teams on the effective, pragmatic application of Agile and Scrum practices.
- Support healthy sprint cadence, realistic commitments, and sustainable delivery.
- Identify and help remove delivery impediments in partnership with product and technology leaders.
- Partner with the Product Delivery Lead to translate priorities into executable sprint plans.
- Own and maintain delivery metrics and KPIs, ensuring progress, velocity, and delivery health are visible and well understood.
- Provide regular delivery insights, status updates, and risk visibility to stakeholders.
- Own and continuously improve Jira and Confluence workflows, standards, and documentation practices.
- Support application releases, deployments, and ongoing enhancements to ensure smooth delivery.
- Assist with traditional project management needs for discrete initiatives when required.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure alignment, manage dependencies, and promote a “one team” delivery mindset.
- 3+ years of experience in software project management, ideally in a small to mid-sized IT environment where PMs take on multiple roles beyond project coordination.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, with the ability to practically apply agile principles rather than just facilitate ceremonies.
- Hands-on experience administering and optimizing Jira and Confluence in a delivery environment.
- Experience developing and using delivery metrics to improve team performance and predictability.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills, especially in cross-functional environments.
- Comfort working with technical teams (data engineering, BI, analytics) and translating delivery concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to proactively identify and troubleshoot project and technical issues, working closely with technical teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Experience supporting analytics, data platforms, or BI teams
- Hands-on experience gathering requirements, writing user stories, testing, and troubleshooting issues in addition to managing project timelines.
- We provide YOU the ability to collaborate with a passionate group of leaders, peers, and amazing Members.
- We recognize YOU for your accomplishments and contributions through development, growth and compensation!
- We care about you AND your family. We want to make your life better and easier. Our benefits exist so you are well taken care of, and we support you and your loved ones through life’s various stages and situations.
