Job Responsibilities:
About the Role
In this role, the Agentic AI Application UI/UX Co-op will support the evolution of internal R&D software tools by improving user experience, frontend consistency, and engineering efficiency. The student will work closely with the AI & SW Technologies team to analyze existing frontends, identify reusable UI/UX components, and refactor Streamlit-based mockups into production-ready Next.js applications. They will also collaborate on creating an AI-supported testing guide and contribute to testing workflows that strengthen product stability. This co-op position offers hands-on experience in modern web development, applied UI/UX design, and agentic AI application development within a fast-paced R&D environment.
Your Responsibilities

• Analyze existing MVP frontends and identify opportunities for UI/UX improvements.
• Identify reusable UI/UX building blocks for consistent and scalable R&D interfaces.
• Refactor Streamlit-based prototypes into modern Next.js (TypeScript) frontends.
• Develop an AI-supported testing guide for frontend quality assurance.
• Support test execution, analyze results, and document findings.
• Generate clear test and usability reports that support engineering decision-making.

Who we are looking for

• Foundational skills in Python and TypeScript (Next.js).
• Interest in and basic understanding of UI/UX principles and frontend development.
• Engineering background or ongoing studies in a related field.
• Analytical and detail-oriented mindset for evaluating user interfaces and workflows.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an R&D environment.
• Curiosity and motivation to explore modern UI/UX methodologies and AI-driven tooling.

Your preferred qualifications

• Experience with modern web frameworks (Next.js, React) or frontend refactoring.
• Familiarity with design systems, component libraries, or UX pattern guidelines.
• Basic understanding of LLMs, agentic AI applications, or AI-assisted development workflows.
• Exposure to usability testing, evaluation metrics, or frontend quality assurance.

Work Environment

• Standard office environment and Robotics/Cobot Lab.

Compensation

• The hourly rate for this position ranges from $24.50 - $28.50.
