We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and collaborative Agency Training Manager to lead the strategy, development, and delivery of our agency training programs at Great West. 

 

In this highly visible role, you'll serve as the driving force behind training initiatives that strengthen agent knowledge, support business growth, and ensure regulatory compliance. Location: On Site in South Sioux City, Nebraska Corporate Office (relocation package available)

What You'll Do
  • Lead the planning, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of agency training programs.
  • Supervise, coach, and provide direction to training team members, ensuring projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Develop engaging learning content in partnership with internal subject matter experts, department leaders, and external presenters.
  • Design and deliver training programs that support independent agency success, organizational initiatives, and strategic business goals.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with agents, employees, vendors, business stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Coordinate training schedules, educational events, webinars, and promotional activities alongside the marketing team.
  • Ensure all Continuing Education (CE) programs comply with state insurance department regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Deliver premier service and support to employees, agents, and insureds while fostering a positive learning environment.
What You Bring
  • Proven experience designing and leading successful training programs.
  • Strong knowledge of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance products and the independent agency distribution model is preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design best practices.
  • Working knowledge of state insurance department regulations, including Continuing Education (CE) requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop others.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both in-person and virtual.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to build productive relationships across departments and with external partners.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality results.
