ABOUT THIS ROLE
Job Title: Agency Trader
Location: Dallas
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Agency Trader to join our fast-paced trading firm, where innovation and strategic expertise are at the forefront of our operations. In this pivotal role, the successful candidate will manage and execute trades across a diverse array of products that includes equities, options, fixed income, and currencies.
Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Trade Execution: Execute trades efficiently and effectively across multiple markets, including equities, options, fixed income, and currencies, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Management: Monitor and manage risks associated with portfolio trading and market movements. Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential losses.
  • Relationship Management: Collaborate with both internal stakeholders and external clients to build trust and ensure alignment with our Introducing Firm's goals.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Ensure all trading activities comply with industry regulations and organizational policies.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience: Proven track record with a minimum of 5-7 years in trading, specifically with direct exposure to equities, options, fixed income, and currencies.
  • Understanding of Market Structure: Working knowledge of market structures, trading workflows, and the regulatory environments affecting different asset classes.
  • Regulatory Knowledge and Compliance: Knowledge of the regulatory environment pertaining to trading and securities, including a robust understanding of trade reporting requirements (CAT and TRACE) and compliance procedures.
  • Experience in Trading and Securities Operations: Working experience in trading and securities operations, demonstrating knowledge of trade lifecycle management and best practices in the securities industry.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, specialized in quickly identifying and addressing trading issues and errors. This includes a keen ability to dissect complex trading scenarios, apply logical reasoning, and implement effective solutions in real-time trading environments.
  • Technological Proficiency: Experience with trading platforms and familiarity with algorithmic trading.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Decision-Making: Strong decision-making skills with the ability to perform well under pressure and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Education and/or Experience:

  • Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field is required. FINRA licensing, including Series 7, and 63, is mandatory. Series 57 must be obtained shortly after being hired. Series 4, and 24 are considered valuable but optional.


Work Environment:

  • The work environment will be in a office setting.
