Job Descriptions:

The Agency Sales Head is responsible for leading and driving sales performance across a designated region through a network of insurance agencies in the supervised area/region. This role requires strategic leadership, strong business acumen, and the ability to develop the Regional Sales Managers and high-performing agency partnerships.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Sales Leadership & Performance Management

  • Drive regional sales growth and achieve revenue targets through agency channel development
  • Monitor and analyze sales metrics, market trends, and competitive landscape
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to maximize regional market penetration
  • Ensure compliance with sales practices, regulatory requirements, and company policies
  • Manage regional budget and resource allocation effectively

2. Agency Development & Relationship Management

  • Recruit, onboard, and develop agency partners within the region
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agency principals and key stakeholders
  • Conduct regular business reviews with agency partners to assess performance
  • Provide coaching, training, and support to enhance agency capabilities
  • Facilitate resolution of operational and service-related issues

3. Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales managers and support staff
  • Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance evaluations
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on results and customer excellence
  • Identify talent needs and participate in succession planning initiatives

4. Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop regional business plans aligned with corporate objectives
  • Identify new market opportunities and expansion possibilities
  • Implement sales campaigns and promotional initiatives
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and operations teams on regional strategies

  • Comfort with virtual communication and collaboration platforms

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Professional certifications in Financial Industry is preferred (Certified Financial Planner, leadership and/or Agency Sales Management)
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in insurance/financial services sales
  • At least 5 years in a senior sales leadership role managing regional operations
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Extensive experience in agency/distribution channel management
