About the Role

As an Agency Partner, you will be responsible for driving new and expanded advertising revenue through strategic relationships with leading agency holding companies.. You will help agencies and their clients leverage OpenAI’s platform to connect with highly engaged audiences in innovative and responsible ways.

This role is focused on building and growing agency partnerships that unlock opportunities across a broad portfolio of advertisers. You will own the agency partnership strategy—from executive relationship development and joint business planning to agency education and portfolio activation—establishing OpenAI as a trusted partner and driving sustained adoption and revenue growth across agencies and their clients.

You’ll partner closely with Client Partners, Account Managers, and cross-functional teams to coordinate agency engagement, identify priority advertiser opportunities, and ensure consistent execution across your agency portfolio.


This role is based in our New York City office, and candidates are expected to work from the office three days per week.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute strategic agency partnership plans that increase adoption, unlock advertiser investment, and drive revenue growth across agency holding companies and independent agencies.

  • Develop and execute strategic agency plans that drive advertiser adoption, client ROI, and long-term revenue growth.

  • Build and maintain relationships with senior agency decision-makers across investment, strategy, planning, innovation, data, commerce, and executive leadership functions.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to agency partners, helping them understand and activate OpenAI’s advertising solutions across a diverse range of clients, industries, and business objectives. This includes leading agency education and enablement efforts.

  • Lead strategic partnership discussions, joint business planning, and commercial frameworks that support agency-wide adoption and investment.

  • Identify and influence priority client opportunities in partnership with agency leaders, planners, buyers, and account teams.

  • Quantify opportunities through clear, data-driven business cases aligned with advertiser objectives and performance outcomes.

  • Partner closely with Account Management, Product, Measurement, Marketing, and Operations to deliver exceptional agency and advertiser experiences.

  • Gather and synthesize feedback from agencies and their clients to help shape the evolution of OpenAI’s advertising products, partnerships, and go-to-market strategy.

  • Stay informed on agency trends, competitive dynamics, shifts in media investment, and emerging technologies affecting the advertising ecosystem.

  • Experience developing joint business plans and activating opportunities across large, matrixed agency organizations.

  • The ability to influence multiple stakeholders, from day-to-day planning and investment teams to senior agency and client executives.

  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, strategic planning, and executive communication capabilities.

  • Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and helping build new businesses from the ground up.
