About the position:

The Agency Deal Closer position requires a highly skilled candidate with deep Loan IQ experience to support the execution and lifecycle management of syndicated and structured loan transactions.

Responsibilities include timely handling of all Agency transactions, daily workflow related to Loan Administration, and tasks such as issuance, advising, amending, reporting, billing, document checking, and payments.

The role involves capturing transactions on the Loan IQ Lending platform, analyzing structured finance loan portfolios, performing audits, reconciling interest and fees, reviewing commercial loan terms, resolving discrepancies, preparing spreadsheets, and recommending procedural changes when necessary. Effective communication skills and the ability to address moderate to complex system-related issues are essential.

About the department:

Loan Agency is a team of seven specialists within the Client Services Department under the COO Americas domain. In Loan Agency, we drive critical front‑to‑back loan execution for the Americas — from complex deal closings to high‑volume quarter‑end cycles, from accuracy‑driven lifecycle servicing to process and control enhancements that support global operating model transformation. The successful candidate chosen to join this high‑performing team will thrive in a positive, collaborative environment working alongside an accomplished agency team defined by a solid foundation, enterprising mindset, and unwavering integrity.

Responsibilities:

The Agency Closing Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of deal servicing, act as the primary point of contact for both internal and external clients and will perform the following key functions:

  • Analyze Credit Documentation and extract the necessary information for deal capture and booking in Lending System.
  • Coordinate and manage syndicated loan closings, including CP, funding coordination, lender allocations, and initial facility onboarding.
  • Processing borrowing and payment requests, arrange for funding/break funding, set rates, and renew maturing loan contracts.
  • Calculate and bill fees: commitment, unutilized, letter of credit, agency, and fronting fees.
  • Set-up and maintain customer records including administrative details and payment instructions (including the collection of original tax forms).
  • Manage lifecycle events: amendments, waivers, extensions, repricings, lender assignments, rollovers, and restructurings.
  • Review, interpret, and validate credit agreements, fee letters, amendments, joinders, and closing instructions.
  • Lead and participate in closing calls with Borrowers, Lenders, Counsel, and internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with Borrowers, Lenders, and internal teams on all Agency matters.
  • Monitor commitment limits and expiration dates.
  • Monitor daily cash flow and investigate unidentified amounts in suspense account.
  • Assist in training junior staff and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist Manager in any special projects as needed.

Qualifications / Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or closely-related quantitative field from an accredited U.S. school (or equivalent)
  • 3+ years of relevant Loan Agency experience supporting syndicated loans.

Experience / Knowledge:

  • Advanced, hands‑on experience with Loan IQ (facility onboarding, deal closing setup, events, fee setup, amendments).
  • Strong understanding of credit agreements and related loan documentation.
  • Experience with ClearPar, or similar platforms a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to control and accuracy.
  • Ability to operate in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities

Personal Competencies :

  • Confident, self‑driven, and capable of owning complex transactions.
  • Able to use MS-Office with advanced knowledge in Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Adaptable, collaborative, and able to multitask under pressure.
  • Flexible and learning capacity to adapt to on-going changes
  • Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.

Salary Range $110,000 - $140,000

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or closely-related quantitative field from an accredited U.S. school
  • 4+ years of relevant loan agency experience
  • Strong understanding of origination and syndication process
  • Proficiency with Loan IQ
  • Experience with web-based systems (DebtDomain and Clearpar)
  • Experience and familiarity with Credit Agreements and other related loan documentation
