CIG Motors is building one of Africa’s fastest-growing automotive and mobility ecosystems across vehicle sales, dealership operations, EV mobility, financing, fleet systems, logistics, aftersales, and commercial partnerships. The After Sales Workshop Manager – Victoria Island will lead and transform the Victoria Island workshop into a flagship, high-performance, revenue-generating aftersales operation delivering exceptional customer experience, operational excellence, technical quality, and execution discipline. This role requires a commercially minded operational leader with strong technical expertise, aggressive execution capability, and an ownership mentality capable of driving workshop productivity, customer retention, revenue growth, profitability, and team accountability at the highest standards. The successful candidate must possess the leadership presence, operational discipline, technical competence, and commercial drive required to build a world-class aftersales operation aligned with CIG Motors’ long-term growth ambitions.

Core Mandate Lead and scale the Victoria Island workshop into a disciplined, customer-focused, operationally excellent, and commercially aggressive flagship aftersales centre. This includes:

Workshop Operations Leadership
  • Lead all daily workshop operations with strong execution discipline and operational control.

  • Ensure strict adherence to OEM standards, diagnostics procedures, repair quality, and technical compliance.
  • Implement systems that improve workflow management, technician productivity, and customer delivery timelines.
  • Drive a zero-tolerance culture for operational inefficiency, delayed repairs, poor workmanship, and customer dissatisfaction.
  • Improve workshop utilisation and operational output consistently.

Revenue Growth & Commercial Performance
  • Drive aggressive revenue growth across servicing, diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and parts sales.
  • Build initiatives to increase workshop throughput, repeat servicing, upselling opportunities, and customer retention.
  • Improve warranty recovery revenue and aftersales commercial performance
  • Monitor workshop profitability daily and implement corrective actions where required
  • Position the Victoria Island workshop as the flagship aftersales revenue centre for CIG Motors
  • Support business growth through stronger aftersales customer relationships

Leadership & Team Management
  • Recruit, mentor, develop, and lead a high-performance aftersales team.
  • Build a strong culture of ownership, urgency, accountability, professionalism, and execution excellence.
  • Manage workshop supervisors, technicians, service advisors, and support staff effectively
  • Implement measurable KPIs and accountability systems across workshop teams
  • Identify underperformance quickly and execute corrective improvement plans
  • Drive continuous technical and leadership development within the workshop

Customer Experience & Retention
  • Drive exceptional customer satisfaction and premium service experience standards
  • Personally oversee escalated customer complaints and ensure rapid resolution
  • Build customer retention and loyalty initiatives that strengthen repeat business
  • Ensure all customer interactions reflect professionalism, responsiveness, and operational excellence
  • Improve customer communication and service transparency across workshop operations

Technical & Diagnostic Oversight
  • Provide technical leadership across diagnostics, repairs, and complex vehicle issues
  • Ensure accurate fault diagnosis and high first-time-fix rates
  • Lead implementation of modern workshop technologies, diagnostic systems, and technical best practices.
  • Coordinate closely with OEM technical teams on product updates, campaigns, warranty processes, and repair standards.
  • Strengthen workshop technical capability and quality assurance systems

Parts, Inventory & Resource Management
  • Work closely with the Parts department to ensure the availability of critical spare parts and minimise service delays.
  • Improve workshop planning and inventory coordination systems.
  • Ensure proper management and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment.
  • Implement strong cost-control measures while maintaining service quality standards.
  • Reduce operational wastage and improve resource utilisation.

Operational Governance & Reporting
  • Develop and maintain workshop dashboards and operational reporting systems
  • Monitor workshop revenue, productivity, turnaround time, customer satisfaction, warranty recovery, and operational efficiency.
  • Drive data-driven decision-making across the workshop
  • Build stronger operational accountability and reporting structures.
  • Regularly present performance insights and improvement recommendations to leadership



Requirements
Required Experience
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in automotive aftersales, workshop management, technical
  • operations, or dealership service operations
  • Strong experience managing automotive workshop operations at scale
  • Proven experience improving workshop profitability and operational efficiency
  • Strong technical and diagnostic understanding
  • Experience leading technical and operational teams
  • Experience operating within OEM or dealership environments preferred
  • Strong reporting, operational planning, and execution capability

Preferred Qualifications
  • Automotive engineering or technical qualification preferred
  • Strong understanding of modern automotive diagnostics and workshop systems
  • OEM or dealership aftersales experience is highly valuable
  • Experience managing high-volume automotive workshop operations preferred
