After-School Tutoring Supervisor

The After-School Tutoring Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily operations of the after-school tutoring program. This role includes overseeing academic programming, supervising tutoring staff, managing student groups, and monitoring student academic progress in alignment with school goals. The Supervisor will ensure a safe, productive, and supportive environment for all participants. Program hours are from 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Program Leadership:

  • Oversee the implementation of the after-school tutoring program aligned with academic priorities.
  • Monitor student engagement and academic progress through regular check-ins and assessments.
  • Adjust tutoring strategies to meet the evolving needs of students.

Staff Supervision:

  • Supervise tutoring staff and provide support, feedback, and training as needed.
  • Ensure staff are prepared and equipped with materials and guidance.
  • Maintain attendance records for staff and students.

Student Support:

  • Manage student groupings to ensure academic alignment and productive sessions.
  • Address student behavior concerns and implement positive behavior interventions.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants.

Data and Compliance:

  • Track and report student attendance and academic progress.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and school policies.
  • Submit any required program documentation and updates in a timely manner.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with school leaders, teachers, and families to align after-school support with in-school instruction.
  • Serve as a point of contact for program-related questions or concerns from staff and families.
  • Communicate program goals, successes, and needs to stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of teaching and coaching experience.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of instructional strategies and academic data use.
  • Must be in good standing (attendance and other job responsibilities)  and available 3:30–5:30 PM daily.

The CCSP benefits package is subject to the terms outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for members that are subject to the CBA. The benefits package for staff members that are not subject to the terms of the CBA is at the sole discretion of the Board of Trustees.
