Position Summary

Every afternoon, families trust the YMCA to provide a place where their children can continue learning, build friendships, and discover new interests after the final school bell rings. As the Site Coordinator, After School, ASES Grant, you'll lead a high quality, ASES-funded after school program that helps children grow academically, socially, emotionally, and physically in a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment. You'll coach and support a team of Program Leaders, partner closely with school administrators and families, and oversee engaging club based experiences that inspire curiosity, build confidence, and foster a true sense of belonging. If you're passionate about developing Team Members, strengthening school communities, and creating meaningful opportunities for children to thrive, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact every school day. This is a part-time, seasonal, grant-funded position supporting elementary school students during the academic year.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Build strong relationships with school administrators, families, and community partners to strengthen the program and support student success.
  • Create meaningful experiences that promote academic achievement, positive character development, teamwork, and a lasting sense of belonging.
  • Help ensure the program operates safely, efficiently, and in alignment with YMCA and ASES grant requirements while fostering a positive culture for children and Team Members.

Schedule

Occasional morning, evening, and weekend hours may be required for paid trainings, professional development, family events, and special events throughout the year. Additional opportunities for work may be available during school intersessions, summer day camp, and other YMCA youth programs.
