The Lead Youth Development Professional is responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising youth development related activities and events, members in the building while exercising due care for Boys & Girls
Clubs' property, and for preparing reports as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads and executes implementation of Boys and Girls Club curricula and programs focused on three priority outcomes: academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles.
- Leads and executes coordinated and integrated activities and events for members of the Club and community as well as family engagement opportunities.
- Ensures program areas are always safe, engaging, and properly maintained.
- Ensures all program data requirements are completed in a timely and consistent manner.
- Promotes and stimulates membership and participation in activities in the club.
- Supports volunteers who assist with the implementation of program activities.
- Establish positive relationships with all stakeholders including youth, parents, volunteers, schools, and community partners.
- Provides positive, informal guidance and mentorship.
- Effectively communicates the goals, objectives, programs, and activities of the club to stakeholders.
- Takes responsibility for assigned equipment and supplies.
- Performs other tasks and duties as assigned.
Schedule/Hours:
Monday- Friday 2:30pm-6:30pm
Qualifications- HS Diploma required.
- 1+ year experience implementing youth development programs.
- Must possess good character and decision-making skills.
- Must possess a sincere interest in children, maturity, self-control, and sound judgment.
- Must have a working knowledge of positive youth development and positive behavior management skills.
- Must possess good character and decision-making skills.
- Must have energy and possess time management skills.
- Possess and demonstrate the ability to function objectively and fairly in all aspects, including discipline.
Skills Required
- High school diploma
- At least one year of experience implementing youth development programs
- Knowledge of positive youth development and positive behavior management skills
