Background and Purpose of the Job
This role supports end-to-end planning, reporting, and analytics for our approximately $3B Trade Spend Budget across the U.S. and Canada. The position combines financial acumen with digital execution and delivery to drive enhancements and efficiencies across North America Finance and Sales. It also leads the ongoing Pigment implementation across North America Finance and Sales, partnering with key stakeholders across multiple functions.
What you´ll do
This role is the lead for Pigment support, design and execution across US and Canada. System expertise is directly correlated with the following trade function and controls.
Digital Transformation & Platform Ownership
- Lead the evolution of North America's Pigment ecosystem, supporting trade management, forecasting, target setting, month-end close, and business performance reporting.
- Serve as the Finance Operations product owner for Pigment, translating business requirements into scalable system solutions that improve planning accuracy and decision-making.
- Design and implement new planning models, workflows, dashboards, and reporting capabilities that enhance user experience and business adoption.
Process Automation & Efficiency Creation
- Identify and eliminate manual processes by redesigning finance workflows through automation, system integration, and digital solutions.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives that reduce cycle times, improve data quality, and increase operational efficiency across Finance and Customer Development.
- Modernize legacy reporting and planning processes by moving critical activities from spreadsheets and offline tools into scalable enterprise solutions.
Finance Systems Architecture & Enhancements
- Design and maintain enterprise planning models, data structures, hierarchies, calculations, and business rules within Pigment.
- Evaluate emerging business needs and develop innovative solutions leveraging AI, automation, and next-generation planning technologies.
Business Impact & Strategic Enablement
- Support planning and management of approximately $3B in annual trade investment across North America through improved forecasting, reporting, and financial visibility.
- Deliver insights and tools that enable leadership teams to make faster, more informed decisions on trade investment, performance management, and resource allocation.
- Develop scalable solutions that support hundreds of users across Finance, Customer Development, Customer Strategy & Planning, and Executive Leadership teams.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-3+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Science, Business Intelligence, Finance Analytics, FP&A, or similar analytical roles. Candidates with strong technical, reporting, and systems expertise who are interested in developing commercial finance and trade investment capabilities are encouraged to apply.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with planning, reporting, and analytics platforms such as Power BI, SAP, Pigment, PBCS, Evergreen, SAS, or similar tools.
- Experience working with financial planning platforms and reporting systems, preferably Pigment or similar tools.
- Experience supporting business stakeholders across multiple markets or business units.
- Experience in system implementation, enhancement, or transformation projects is highly desirable.
Pay: The pay range for this position is $88,600 to $133,000. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
