M&T Bank is hiring a Financial Advisor to grow and manage a book of business in the Catonsville market. This role offers access to a robust referral network across Retail, Business Banking, and Wealth partners—giving you the opportunity to focus on what you do best: building relationships and delivering advice-based solutions.
What You’ll Do:
Build and grow a book of business through referrals, new client development, and a defined territory of retail branch partnerships
Deliver personalized investment and insurance solutions aligned to client goals
Partner with branch, business banking, and wealth teams to generate consistent opportunities
Conduct portfolio reviews and recommend tailored strategies to grow and protect assets
Manage the full client lifecycle—from discovery to long-term relationship management
What You Bring:
4+ years of investment and/or insurance sales experience
Proven track record growing client relationships and assets under management
Strong business development and networking skills
Ability to work independently while leveraging internal partnerships
Education and Experience Required:
Combined minimum of 6 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 4 years’ investment or insurance sales experience
Licenses Required:
Series 7, 63, and 65 or 66
Life/Variable Insurance license
