Job Description

The role seeks a distinguished and commercially astute leader to head the Banks Private Banking business, serving Namibia's most prominent individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and executives. This role requires an exceptional banking professional with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams, driving sustainable growth and building trusted relationships within an exclusive client segment.

The successful candidate should bring deep expertise in private banking and wealth management, coupled with strong financial acumen. They should possess the credibility, influence and professional network required to engage confidently with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, earning their trust and respect as a strategic financial partner.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting, Economic, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics or related.

Experience: 

  • 8-10 years' experience in the design and delivery of client propositions across client segments. Experience in leading, integrating and delivering solutions through multi-disciplinary teams. Understanding of digital, open banking, and platform integration into the segment.

Key Impact Areas:

  • Lead and execute the Affluent segment value proposition, related toolbox(es) and client journeys in country and customises accordingly.
  • Implement and monitor risk management across the segment (e.g., operational risk, credit risk, ecosystems risk and partner risk management).
  • Develop appropriate recovery and resolution plans to protect the Affluent segment from any untoward event.
  • Lead, inspire and empower a team of banking professionals to deliver exceptional client experiences and business performance.
  • Identify opportunities for process re-engineering and business optimisation, ensuring the business remains agile, competitive and future-focused

Skills Required

  • Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics or related
  • 8-10 years' experience designing and delivering client propositions across segments
  • Proven experience leading, integrating and delivering solutions through multi-disciplinary teams
  • Deep expertise in private banking and wealth management and engaging HNW/UHNW clients
  • Understanding of digital channels, open banking and platform integration
