The Applied Energy Technology Corp (AETC) is seeking an experienced Project Engineering. This position coordinates and supports manufacturing operations to attain production goals consistent with quality, efficiency, and cost objectives. Preferably experience in energetics/explosive handling and mixing operations. This position is based in Burton, TX, with a direct oversight and customer interface.

The Project Engineer will manage assigned programs/projects from contract acceptance through production using established business unit practices and procedures while meeting customer requirements, within budget and in a timely manner. Key elements include an organized, data-driven, handson approach, leadership, and overall business acumen. Prior experience in aerospace, energetics and standard manufacturing experience is a plus. Strong communications skill is also a strong plus.

Qualifications

The Project Engineer performs a variety of design verification, manufacturing activities including preparing/updating drawings, preparing/updating project schedules, preparing presentation for meetings, preparing assembly/manufacturing drawings, and assist in the preparation of documents.

• Utilizing knowledge of product technology, production methods, procedures and equipment capabilities

• Provides status and progress reports to project team, and management.

• Partner with Engineering, Business Development, Customer, and Production teams to deliver results.

• Proactively identify trends/risks/opportunities and recommend actions to ensure we meet Production Schedule.

• Notify management of critical schedule conditions.

• Effectively communicate, schedule, and ensure execution of program deliverables.

• Responsible for program schedules, task prioritization and risk assessment for a variety of programs

• Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

• Plans and directs manufacturing operations for most efficient manufacturing of products.

• Evaluate and establish material, equipment, and manpower requirements to support the manufacturing of product.

• Develops and implements methods and procedures designed to improve product quality and efficiencies and elimination of operating problems.

• Reviews and analyzes data, reports and outputs to determine causes of non-conformity and implements corrective action.
