Jetstar is seeking a professional and engaging Aerodrome & Airways Advisor. In this role, you will be a key point of contact for our Flight Operations team and will be responsible for providing support and assistance with company aerodrome and route approvals and classification.
Reporting to the Aerodrome and Airways Manager as an advisor, you will provide input on aerodrome standards, airspace management and weather forecasting services and will be responsible for developing and maintaining diversion aerodrome support options and documentation.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Support the running of the Aerodrome and Route Assessment program
- Act as a delegate for the Aerodrome and Airways Manager, in their absence
- Assist in ensuring that navigation/route information data and diversion aerodrome information is accurate and appropriate
- Provide advice on alternate aerodrome capability and maintain a registry of Alternate Aerodrome support service contact details for use by the JOCC
- Assist in the maintenance of related operations manuals
- When required, attend Regulator and Industry meetings regarding aerodrome standards, airspace management and weather forecasting services
- Assist in Flight Management System navigation data and validation processes
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Experience in Flight Dispatch desired
- Previous experience working in aviation or an operational focused industry desired
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication approaches, including a confidence to engage, debate and facilitate stakeholder meetings
- Proven ability in managing key internal and external stakeholders
- A proactive approach and enjoys finding solutions
- A flexible and can-do attitude, with the ability to flex between coaching others and rolling up your sleeves and implementing actions
- A strong attention to detail as to ensure quality outcomes
