Position Summary
As a Senior AEM Content Author, you will deliver high‑quality, compliant, and customer‑centric content experiences across Aetna Medicare public websites. You’ll be part of a cross‑functional Marketing Technology team responsible for building scalable, accessible digital experiences within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
In this role, you’ll bring strong problem solving, technical expertise, and a clear sense of ownership. You are expected to look beyond task execution - collaborating with team members, identifying issues early, speaking up with recommendations, improving processes, and ensuring that the right work gets done to deliver meaningful outcomes for customers and the business.
This role sits within the Aetna Marketing Technology and Digital Experiences group (Aetna MarTech).
Your job responsibilities will be to:- Author, manage, and optimize complex web content within Adobe Experience Manager to support acquisition and retention goals.
- Ensure content meets accessibility, SEO, brand, and regulatory standards in a highly regulated healthcare environment.
- Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities before they impact delivery.
- Troubleshoot content and rendering issues independently and partner with engineering when deeper technical support is needed.
- Partner closely with Product, UX, Engineering, Analytics, Legal, and Compliance throughout the full content development lifecycle.
- Work within an Agile team to plan, refine, and deliver content aligned to roadmap priorities.
- Identify opportunities to improve authoring workflows, governance, templates, and standards.
- Contribute to scalable processes that increase efficiency while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
- Provide guidance to junior authors and contractors, setting clear standards for quality and execution.
- Lead by example and advocate for strong content and experience decisions.
- Work in a fast-paced highly regulated environment governed by federal and state guidelines.

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in content authoring
- Expert Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) content management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- AEM content author certification
- Advanced Knowledge of responsive web design (web, mobile, tablet) best practice
- Advanced understanding of accessibility guidelines
- Experience working on agile team and leveraging tools, and work management tools such as JIRA
- Familiarity with agentic work management tools such as Copilot and/or Gradial
- Comfortable with Microsoft Excel
- Analytical and data-driven, with a track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive decision-making
Education
Bachelor’s Degree, certification in Marketing Technology, Business, Communications, or equivalent experience
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$82,940.00 - $199,144.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
