ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Advisory Sales Associate is responsible for prospecting and bringing new sales opportunities to Apex. This person is communicative, disciplined, and thrives in a fast paced environment. They have the ability to learn and refine Apex’s value proposition and communicate it effectively to advisory prospects. They have an understanding of the competitive RIA custody solutions available to advisory firms and they refine understanding of how Apex compares. They will collaborate with sales directors to effectively transition information relating to qualified leads so the sales director can effectively progress the opportunity. The Associate, Advisory Sales has a “roll up their sleeves” mentality to help the sales director convert quality leads to opportunities. This person is responsible for growing the advisory sales team funnel. The Associate, Advisory Sales will work closely with the sales, client experience, and marketing teams to support acceleration of advisory NNA to Apex.   

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Generate ideal client profiles for Apex Advisory based on segmentation analysis and advisory firms who have chosen to custody with Apex. Generate strategies to Identify and reach similar companies that could benefit from a custody relationship with Apex.

  • Regularly contact advisory prospects and confirm sales meetings.

  • Communicate apex advisory value proposition. Ask a series of questions to uncover needs and business requirements advisory firms have of their custodian.

  • Capture detailed notes and log information in CRM system

  • Transition leads to sales directors, effectively communicating information relevant to efficiently advancing leads

  • Share feedback with marketing team and leadership on what is working well and what could be improved as far as lead generation efforts.

  • Execute tactical tasks and activities to support the implementation of business development initiatives.

  • Accountable for delivery of tactical activity and lead conversion targets and KPIs

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience) required

  • Prior experience in business development or sales, preferably in the advisory industry preferred

  • Experience supporting sales department in fast paced environment preferred

  • FINRA Series 7 license

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Discipline and drive to consistently reach out and educate advisory firms about Apex’s offering

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to collaborate across various departments and functions.

  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.

  • Proficient in CRM software preferably Salesforce

Work Environment

  • This job operates in a hybrid, office environment.

  • Willingness to travel as needed (up to 25%)

Salary Range

$54,400-$68,000

The annual base salary range for this position is noted above. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and office location.
