ABOUT THE TEAM

As an Advisor within the Total Fund Solutions group, you will join a dynamic and creative team and play a key role in maximizing the value delivered by the Technology, Data and Operations (TDO) group. Total Fund Solutions brings together clients (business partners) responsible for managing activities such as building PSP’s strategic portfolio, defining investment mandates, leading the responsible investment strategy and oversight, managing Total Portfolio risk, performance, and treasury. Reporting to the Director, Total Fund Solutions group, the incumbent supports and assists business partners, acts as a subject matter expert, resolves issues efficiently, and works closely with the delivery team to generate ongoing value for the organization while identifying new opportunities to exploit.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

As an Advisor, Total Fund Solutions, you’ll:

  • Liaise, guide, and support the definition and implementation of solutions with business partners to align with PSP and TDO’s strategic vision

  • Analyze business needs and provide detailed specifications to the delivery team

  • Provide recommendations to maximize the value and utilization of our solutions

  • Identify and assess opportunities to meet evolving requirements, including initiating analyses on process automation or development of analytical tools in collaboration with partners

  • Collaborate with partners and the delivery team to design prototypes and proofs of concept

  • Foster strong engagement and manage relationships with business partners to contribute to the team’s mission

  • Maintain a solid understanding of business partners’ realities and their digital and analytical needs

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Engineering, or Business Administration (specialization in Finance), or an equivalent combination of education and experience; postgraduate studies (M.Sc.) (an asset)

  • Professional designations such as CFA, FRM, or PRM (an asset)

  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, ideally in the financial or investment industry

  • Strong understanding of investment and risk management (an asset)

  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to solve complex problems, and a solid understanding of business processes to effectively support stakeholders

  • Business intelligence skills are an asset (e.g., data analysis and visualization using tools such as SQL, Power BI…)

  • Bilingualism: English and French (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
