We are seeking an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to join our Enterprise POS team and drive the design, implementation, and optimization of modern DevOps practices across our application landscape. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in AWS, GitLab, ArgoCD, Terraform, Helm, Docker, and Kubernetes, along with a solid understanding of security, monitoring, automation, and release management.
This role will play a key part in enabling reliable, scalable, and secure software delivery pipelines for enterprise-grade POS solutions. The Lead DevOps Engineer will work closely with development, QA, architecture, security, and operations teams to streamline deployments, improve platform stability, and promote DevOps best practices across the organization.
What you will do:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to support efficient and reliable software delivery.
- Lead DevOps initiatives for enterprise POS applications across development, testing, and production environments.
- Build and maintain cloud-native infrastructure on AWS to support scalable and resilient applications.
- Implement and manage GitLab CI/CD workflows, repository strategies, and deployment automation.
- Use ArgoCD to enable GitOps-based continuous delivery and environment consistency.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and deployment templates using Helm.
- Manage containerized workloads using Docker and orchestrate deployments through Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to improve build, release, and deployment processes.
- Establish and enforce DevOps standards, governance, and best practices across teams.
- Integrate security best practices into the DevOps lifecycle, including static code analysis, dynamic testing, vulnerability scanning, and secrets management.
- Monitor platform health, application performance, and operational metrics using tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, deployment, and environment-related issues.
- Support production readiness, release planning, rollback strategies, and incident response activities.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Drive continuous improvement in system reliability, deployment speed, and operational efficiency.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering technical growth and alignment with engineering goals.
- Work closely with stakeholders across engineering, product, and operations to ensure successful project delivery.
What you will need to have:
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure automation roles.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong hands-on expertise in AWS cloud services and cloud-native deployment models.
- Proven experience with GitLab and ArgoCD for CI/CD and GitOps-based delivery.
- Strong experience with Terraform and Helm for infrastructure provisioning and application deployment.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in enterprise environments.
- Good understanding of security best practices in DevOps, including code scanning, vulnerability management, and secrets handling.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk.
- Working knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Strong proficiency in Git and understanding of branching, merging, and release strategies.
- Experience working with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Kanban methodologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex distributed environments.
- Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience supporting deployments across DEV, SIT, UAT, and Production environments.
What would be great to have:
- Experience in enterprise POS, payments, retail, or transaction-processing platforms.
- Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
- Knowledge of service mesh, ingress controllers, and advanced Kubernetes ecosystem tools.
- Experience with policy-as-code, compliance automation, and platform governance.
- Familiarity with cost optimization and cloud resource management in AWS.
- Exposure to AI-assisted operations (AIOps), intelligent monitoring, or automation using AI tools.
- Experience leading DevOps transformation initiatives or platform modernization programs.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity planning.
