Advisor - Quality and Continuous Improvement (Memphis, TN)

Position Overview: The Advisor, Quality and Continuous Improvement plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of ALSAC's critical processes. This role involves applying quality tools and continuous improvement methods, such as Lean Six Sigma, to drive organizational capability and improve stakeholder experiences. The Advisor supports the resolution of quality issues impacting stakeholder experience, revenue, or the St. Jude brand, and continuously seeks ways to improve our work.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Advising: Collaborate with the Director of Enterprise Quality Management to develop and deploy strategies that foster a quality-focused global enterprise discipline.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities across the enterprise and advise business and process owners on solutions to enhance internal processes using quality tools and continuous improvement methods.
Operational Assessments: Conduct operational assessments of critical workflows to streamline, standardize, and eliminate waste and complexity. Establish process metrics and reporting to ensure sustainable change.
Project Implementation: Implement process improvements, ensuring timely completion of deliverables for complex, cross-functional projects as well as quick wins.
Quality Issue Resolution: Support the EQM Team in resolving quality issues impacting revenue, donor experience, and brand through all stages, from identification to validation, ensuring sustainable solutions.
Training and Mentoring: Deliver formal and on-the-job training, and mentor employees on the application of quality tools and methods to develop organizational capability for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Proven ability to work independently and lead project teams using quality/continuous improvement tools.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to determine root causes and lead teams to solutions.
Experience in process mapping and working with new stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
Thorough knowledge and application of quality management methods and continuous improvement tools such as Total Quality Management, Baldrige Excellence Framework, Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent.
Extensive background in operational efficiency, business process improvement, project management, and financial statements.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
Attention to detail and strong time management and people management skills.
Proficiency in data analysis applications and the ability to teach these skills.
Bachelor's degree and at least 3-5 years of proven business process improvement experience in a similar role, including quality management, project management, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred; advanced experience in lieu of credentials will be considered.

This position will be based at our National Executive Office in Memphis, TN
The position will be eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
