The Job/What You'll Do:

We are seeking a highly self-sufficient and results-driven professional to fill the role of Advisor Programs Manager. This role plays a critical role in developing, managing and maintaining financial advisor-facing programs that fall under AssetMark’s Business Consulting team. This position requires a deep commitment to learning the intricacies of our business consulting value proposition and how they help make a difference in the lives of our advisors. The ideal candidate will bring a high degree of project management experience within the financial services industry, honed communication skills, be instinctively detail-oriented, and possess the ability to execute under challenging conditions.

This is a full-time position in our Concord, CA office with a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Business Consultants, senior leadership, marketing teams, and other departments to ensure seamless content delivery and program execution. Act as the bridge between strategy and execution and ensure continuity of the program life cycle

  • Ensure all deliverables for assigned legacy or new programs and other strategic initiatives – which includes but not limited to timelines, communications, content, launches – are meticulously maintained, updated, and delivered accordingly. Proactively drives the necessary actions across internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and successful delivery and achieve desired results

  • Create surveys and conduct ongoing research using industry sources to identify relevant data, insights, and best practices that uncover areas for improvement to enhance the quality of Advisor programs. Adjust program deliverables based on findings and feedback loop. Manage research vendors on behalf of the Business Consulting team

  • Prepare reporting for assigned programs that include understanding of KPIs and ROI and key metrics that track program progress

  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and controls, consistently evaluating and enhancing processes for optimal performance

  • Invest time in learning the full spectrum of business consulting programs, and the role they play in helping AssetMark maintain a deep relationship with our advisors

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of working collaboratively to lead the integration of complex programs and utilizing best practices in management to ensure shared success

  • Close attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to self-direct and manage time effectively

  • Able to prioritize tasks and work on multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships

  • Strong research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and concisely

  • Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

  • Ability to define clear objectives for challenges, collect appropriate information, and develop action plans resulting in workable solutions

  • A positive, team-oriented attitude with a service mindset and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment

  • Fundamental understanding of small business consulting principles, strategies, and solutions

  • Intermediate to advanced skills with MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and OneNote

  • You should be comfortable with Excel formulas, pivot tables, charts, and formatting

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in project or program management, ideally within financial services, practice management, or business consulting

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce and Slack is a plus

  • General understanding of graphic design is a plus

Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $90,000-$115,000.

 

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
