Advisor, Engineering and Process Improvements

This position will lead the solutions engineering in the sales process, and engineered opportunities into customized supply chain solutions. Specifically, incumbent will analyze the effectiveness of operations, and design optimal logistics solutions to yield cost savings for MNC clientele and meet revenue and margins objectives of our organization. Other expectations include the development of supply chain capabilities and replicating them in sub-regions/countries within South Asia. 

• Work with operation & commercial team on winning new warehouse & transportation business

• Work with Global Key Account managers on renewal of OMS/CNS contracts through innovative solutions. Develop competitive responses to RFP and RFQ bids. 

• Conduct customer’s supply chain analysis (e.g. RDC solutioning, network optimization considering physical, documentation, information and financial flow, leveraging free trade agreements.

• Provide supply chain consulting to key customers to increase customer stickiness and acquire new business through solutions.

• Meet and exceed timeliness of submission of proposals and solutions.

• Meet and exceed presentation and layout expectations of submitted proposals and presentations.

• Meet and exceed contribution margins and Operating income targets in projects.

• Meet and exceed expectations to provide optimal International logistics, regional distribution and freight solutions.

• Meet and exceed expectations in development of capabilities and sharing of knowledge.

• Meet and exceed expectations in development of consulting service capability.

• Prompt and 100% on-time delivery of response and solutions in support of the engineering and business development project team.

• Achieve a polished and professional standard in presentations, reports and proposals without formatting irregularities, grammatical and spelling errors (presentation & proposal litmus test)

• Contribution margins and EBIT targets are in accordance with corporate guidelines.

• Demonstrate clear understanding of efficiency and effectiveness of clientele’s logistics operations, and ability to map out processes.

• Able to design and develop process improvement metrics (service, cost and productivity).

• Generate solution consulting revenue and CM.

• Clear ability to manage assigned projects to ensure completion within time schedule and budget constraints.

• Support in training new logistics engineering analysts within specified time frame.

• Support business development team in client facing by active participation in client filtering, vetting and cleaning presentations.

• Annual engineering expenses within budget.

• Improve profitability of accounts through re-engineering and lean concept.

Minimum 8 years of Logistics experience with skills in warehousing, distribution, order management, planning and optimization, and information technology application to logistics. Some proposal preparation experience, costing, contract negotiation on rates, and customer presentation experience is advantageous. At least 2 ~ 3 years exposure to Pan South Asian operations of large MNCs.
