The EX-Advisor – Employee Relations is a trusted resource for employees and leaders, providing expert guidance on employee relations matters. This role plays a critical part in fostering a positive, respectful, and compliant workplace culture by supporting investigations, conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and adherence to labor laws and company policies. The Advisor partners closely with Employee Experience, Legal, and People Leaders to ensure fair and consistent application of policies and practices.
Key ResponsibilitiesEmployee Relations & Advisory Support
- Serve as a subject matter expert on employee relations issues, offering guidance to employees and leaders.
- Consult with leaders to promote engagement, inclusion, and alignment with company values.
- Interpret and communicate policies, procedures, and employment laws clearly and effectively.
Investigations & Conflict Resolution
- Conduct and support investigations for routine employee relations cases.
- Facilitate communication and mediate conflicts to achieve timely and fair resolutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of investigations and related processes.
Compliance & Policy Management
- Monitor changes in employment legislation and escalate updates as needed.
- Assist in reviewing and updating employee relations policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Educate employees and leaders on policies, best practices, and legal requirements.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze employee relations data and trends (e.g., turnover, terminations, PIPs, investigations).
- Provide insights and recommend proactive solutions to mitigate risks and improve workplace culture.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support exit surveys and feedback initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
- Assist with disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and terminations under guidance.
- Participate in business continuity and emergency response activities as required.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in HR or Employee Relations with a proven track record of success.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct effective investigations and recommend appropriate actions.
- High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP).
- Experience in mediation, negotiation, or conflict resolution.
This position will be based at our national executive office in Memphis, TN and eligible for hybrid working schedule.
