Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform annual credit reviews of commercial existing portfolio and periodic loan covenant review as applicable in compliance with Bank’s credit policy and procedures, including review of risk ratings and propose changes as applicable.
- Review Credit Referral and documentations for completeness.
- Perform spreading of prospects or borrower's financials at the system.
- Prepare a complete and adequate supported credit proposal or memorandum in compliance with Bank’s policy and regulations.
- Attend Credit Committees meetings and discuss credit presentation and recommendation.
- Effectively manage the portfolio at an acceptable level of risk. Avert losses and delinquency within assigned portfolio.
- Monitor loan maturity dates to minimize technical delinquency and the timely renewal of large loans.
- Maintain quality of assigned loan portfolio through timely recognition of flags and changes in borrower’s financial condition that should be reflected in Risk Ratings. Ensure corrective actions in order to avoid further deterioration.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field required.
- Three (3) years of commercial credit analysis experience required. Banking experience required. One (1) year of experience in Corporate and Institutional segment preferred.
- Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
- Strong experience and knowledge in the review of legal and closing documentation related to commercial loans required.
- Commercial banking products knowledge and experience required.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, customer service and ability to work effectively with internal clients, and staff.
- Analytical, proactive problem solving, organized, detail oriented and able to multitask observing the defined quality standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish & English required.
