What You Will Do:
 
Program Design and Development:

  • Develop and implement innovative energy conservation programs tailored for commercial and industrial customers.

  • Aid in the design and development of sector and offer plans.
     

Information Gathering and Market Research:

  • Create and manage mechanisms for collecting comprehensive market data and business intelligence.

  • Lead qualitative and quantitative research initiatives to gain market insights.
     

Conduct both in-year and forward-looking activities, such as:

  • Forecasting program budgets and targets.

  • Evaluating market penetration and potential.
     

Project Management:

  • Lead all aspects of the execution of assigned projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and successful delivery.

  • Ensure program compliance with regulatory requirements and support the gathering and drafting of evidence.
     

Data Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis to uncover market trends, customer needs, and program performance.

  • Generate actionable insights and recommendations for future conservation initiatives.
     

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Engage with key internal teams, including DSM Sales, DSM Program Design, DSM Strategy/Policy, DSM Tracking & Reporting, DSM Evaluation and Audit, and Technology teams.

  • Lead collaboration and partnership opportunities with external partners, such as IESO and government entities.

  • Drive critical initiatives with internal teams, such as Customer Care, Energy Transition, Regulatory, and IRP.
     

Support Annual Reviews:

  • Assist in annual reviews of commercial and industrial conservation offers relative to market conditions.

  • Identify potential program opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement.
     

Who You Are:

  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering

  • Minimum of 4 years progressive business experience, preferably in energy conservation/program design, including project management and business development

  • Superior analytical skills, advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong problem solving skills demonstrated through a proven ability to identify solutions to complex challenges

  • Strategic problem solver; ability to make decisions and act within an evolving market

  • Customer and results focused

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
