About the role

Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) are now recruiting for an Advice Product Manager to join the Advice Proposition team. The Advice Product Manager is responsible for the vision, strategy, roadmap, and performance of key financial advice journeys, products, and services.
You will be joining HL’s Advisory Services business to deliver, manage, and drive improvements to the proposition that our financial advisers take to clients. Working in close alongside team members in our established team of Proposition & Product experts, and the wider Advisory Services teams, you’ll be applying your knowledge of Financial Advice and experience in Proposition & Product development to implement the Financial Advice Proposition roadmap.

What you’ll be doing

  • Taking ownership of defining a vision, strategy and roadmap for the aspects of HL’s financial advice proposition – as well as the key performance indicators
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement and managing changes to Advice services
  • Achieving buy-in from the business and ensuring the proposition is understood and approved by appropriate governance committees
  • Creating and embracing cross-business alignment to integrate Advice across other functions
  • Collaborating with the team to deliver a roadmap that drives value for both the client and the business
  • Using performance data to uncover opportunities, and make well-informed decisions and recommendations
  • Actively lead the facilitation of all refinement activities using techniques such as customer journey mapping, story mapping, and clear, well-structured user stories
  • Contributing to the wider Product Management Community of Practice

About you

  • Client-focused mind-set
  • Knowledge and experience of Financial Advice
  • Knowledge of technology and developments in the advice delivery market
  • Knowledge of UK tax wrappers (e.g. pensions) and regulatory landscape
  • Previous project or product management experience
  • Proficient use of in person and virtual collaboration tools in a hybrid environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain positive and productive relationships across the business, and externally where relevant
  • Creative – able to come up with sound, well-reasoned ideas
  • Comfortable dealing with data and translating into actions
  • Able to work off own steam in support of team goals when required
  • Ability to manage multiple workloads concurrently

Interview process

The interview process for this role is two stages including an assessment task.

Working Schedule

This role is based in our Bristol head office, BS1 5HL. This is a permanent full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We have returned to the office, however for this role we offer a hybrid flexible working pattern of working in the office and at home.
